Ework Group is the largest consultancy broker in the Nordic region with its headquarters in Stockholm. Ework has offices in Finland, Norway, Denmark, Poland, Great Britain and 4 offices in Sweden.

Ework Groups IT department consists of 28 employees. Most of the employees are developers who provide the business with solutions and updates of their proprietary business systems. Other employees handle office support and ensure IT infrastructure for all offices in cooperation with several external suppliers.

- Interim CIO with the task of ensuring the continued development of the proprietary business platform
- Ensure the availability of infrastructure. To the extent that there is a need for immediate improvements, present them to the management team for any action.
- Create an view of the current IT department and their delivery capabilities.
- Create visions, strategic and tactical goals to match business goals by 2020.
- Start necessary initiatives to meet the goals.

Review of IT vendor to improve user experience of IT infrastructure resulted in
- a project to migrate 360 users to Office 365.
- New WAN solution to secure a more reliable connection with Gothenburg and Malmö office.
- New collaboration environment enabling users to work from distance.
- Hardware replacement plan and standardization of clients and mobile devices.
- Lawsuit of IT supplier for lack of delivery quality.
- Initiating and driver of procurement process of new IT vendor.

Review of development team resulted in
- new team setup within the development department and re-organization.
- New working methods within the development team to implement a fully agile workflow with CI/CD and release mindset.
- New IT manager was recruited internally and initiatives was handed over for continued execution.
